The immense potential of China’s Optoelectronics and Photonics industry continues to grow, and this was further underscored at the 25th China International Optoelectronics Expposition (CIOE) 2024, held in Shenzhen from September 11th to 13th 2024. TEMATYS had an exciting opportunity to explore the immense potential of this dynamic sector firsthand. Representing TEMATYS, Jacques Cochard and Kimon Moratis attended the event and engaged in fruitful discussions with representatives from some of the biggest names in the industry. These included global leaders such as Coherent, Han’s Laser, TRUMPF, and InnoLight, as well as several emerging players that are actively shaping technological innovation in the Asian Photonics markets.
From these discussions, TEMATYS acquired a 360-degree view of the photonics industry, particularly focusing on lasers. The exchanges provided valuable insights into current technologies and applications, market evaluations, and the latest trends that are expected to shape the future of the sector, both in Asia and globally.
While interacting with the industry in China, Jacques Cochard also had the opportunity to share TEMATYS’ expertise in the European photonics sector. He delivered a presentation on the status and future perspectives of the European Photonics Industry during the Global Photonics Industry Development and Application Forum moderated by CIOE and APE 2025 (Asia Photonics Expo). This platform enabled him to showcase the company’s insights into market trends, technological developments, and strategic opportunities in Europe.
